Valtra, a leading Nordic tractor manufacturer and AGCO brand, shifted from production-to-stock to production-to-order to eliminate unsold inventory and meet rising demand. That change made Valtra heavily dependent on subcontractors and created a need for a reliable way to transmit order data and forecasts from its ERP to suppliers so materials would arrive on time and production could be tightly coordinated. Liaison’s SupplierWeb links Valtra’s ERP to suppliers either directly or via the web, passing detailed orders, forecasts and delivery schedules through the subcontractor chain. The system now serves 30 suppliers covering 60% of purchase volume (ten connected directly to ERP), enabling suppliers to plan ahead and download data as needed; this integration supports Valtra’s high-volume, highly customized output—about 16 million components annually—and has strengthened supplier coordination and on-time material availability for the factory.
