The Innovak Group, a 65-year leader in hand tools (brands include Fuller, Johnson Level, General and Wavex), manages more than 160,000 inbound and outbound EDI documents annually with major retailers. When its long-used translation software lost vendor support, Innovak needed a modern EDI translation and communications solution that could reliably map partner transactions into its homegrown IBM iSeries ERP.

Innovak implemented Liaison Delta and ECS in March 2012 and went live two months later, with installation and training exceeding expectations. By using bulk mapping to consolidate incoming files, the company reduced maintenance to one inbound map and nine outbound maps, simplified its ERP interface, cut onboarding time for new partners in half, and expects a 30–40% reduction in VAN costs after moving to Liaison’s Exchange Network.
