Liaison Protect Fulfills Innotrac’s Encryption Requirement for PCI DSS Compliance

Innotrac is a large, ISO 9001-certified fulfillment and customer care provider that processes millions of credit‑card transactions annually and qualifies as a Level 1 service provider under PCI DSS. With cardholder data in multiple data centers and growing client demand for PCI compliance in RFPs, Innotrac needed an accepted encryption solution to meet Requirement 3 but lacked the internal resources to build one.

Following a QSA recommendation, Innotrac ran a proof-of-concept and implemented Liaison Protect (with custom wrappers for recurring transactions) in early 2010, achieving Level 1 PCI DSS compliance by August 2010. The solution delivered unified key management and integrated logging for smoother audits, earned visibility via Visa’s compliant provider listing, enabled a new PCI-compliant card‑processing revenue stream, and helped win new full‑service fulfillment business.
