GlobalTranz Brings EDI In-House with the Help of Liaison Services

GlobalTranz, a fast-growing Phoenix-based freight management company that operates the CarrierRate.com portal, needed to bring its EDI network in-house after many trading partners moved to XML. The company faced major hurdles: its EDI had been managed by a third-party in India with C# code and inaccessible data maps, limited IT resources, slow manual archival processes, and “needle-in-a-haystack” searches that could take 20–34 hours per invoice—hindering onboarding and real-time customer communications.
