One of the world’s largest banks, operating across thousands of locations, faced a growing data-management crisis: legacy records systems and spreadsheet-driven web service designs were error-prone and couldn’t support direct, consistent communication between tellers, personal bankers and backend systems. New international requirements also demanded a unified view of customer data, prompting the bank to reevaluate and modernize its service design and integration processes.
The bank partnered with Liaison Technologies to deploy Contivo, a semantic integration platform, backed by strategy, implementation and training services. Contivo centralized data models and mappings, automated transformations with “starter maps,” reduced hand-coding, and enabled rapid, error-free service creation—eliminating manual spreadsheets, improving data consistency and security, and accelerating the bank’s ability to deliver services.
