Change Healthcare, a major healthcare technology company processing billions of claims annually, faced challenges with inefficiency and a lack of transparency in the healthcare system. They sought to test if blockchain technology could modernize the claims lifecycle by handling massive transaction volumes. They engaged vendor LF Decentralized Trust to implement a solution using the Hyperledger Fabric platform.

LF Decentralized Trust implemented Hyperledger Fabric, which was built and tested in just a few months. The solution achieved a throughput of 550 transactions per second, demonstrating the ability to process up to 50 million healthcare transactions daily.
