A Lexmark Case Study
Woking Borough Council, a local government organization serving a large urban population near London, needed to improve search across its website and intranet. With more than 3,000 pages, 50,000 annual visitors, and strict accessibility and freedom-of-information requirements, the council wanted users to find information quickly and accurately. Lexmark’s Perceptive Search was selected to support this effort.
Lexmark implemented Perceptive Search as an enterprise search solution on the redesigned site, giving Woking Borough Council advanced search tools and the ability to refine results by date, category, or keyword. The system also helped surface frequently requested pages through Best Bet, index meeting minutes and metadata automatically, and control access to sensitive documents. The result was a richer user experience, faster access to key information, and stronger support for accessibility and compliance.
