U.S. Supermarket Chain - Customer Case Study

U.S. Supermarket Chain, a family-owned Midwest grocery retailer with about 100 stores across five states, needed to replace an aging, costly print fleet that was driving breakdowns, higher toner use, and excess inventory. The company worked with Lexmark and its managed print services to standardize printing across stores and reduce the complexity of store and pharmacy printing.

Lexmark implemented a new fleet of Lexmark MS811 and MS711 printers, along with MX410de and CX410de MFPs in select areas, while also adding proactive monitoring and automatic consumables replenishment. The result was a reduction from 571 devices to 319, a 44% cut, plus about $124,000 in equipment and toner savings and more than $25,000 lower consumables costs year over year.
