A Lexmark Case Study
The University of Kansas faced major admissions bottlenecks from paper-based processes, with thousands of documents to sort, store, and share each month. KU needed a way to reduce manual work, improve security, and speed up student decisions, so it turned to Lexmark and Perceptive Content.
Lexmark implemented a process and content management solution integrated with KU’s PeopleSoft system to automate document linking, routing, and workflow. The results were significant: seasonal staffing hours dropped 50%, processing turnaround fell from five or six weeks to less than two weeks, and some students began receiving decisions the same day. KU also reduced file storage from 400 square feet to 6 square feet and improved collaboration across departments.
