A Lexmark Case Study
Toledo Public Schools, the fourth-largest school district in Ohio, was struggling with aging printers and a highly manual copy-request process across 49 schools and 30 satellite locations. The district needed a better way to handle the nearly 40 million pages produced each year, while giving teachers and staff more time to focus on students. Lexmark printers, multifunction products, and Print Management tools were part of the environment used to address the challenge.
Lexmark implemented Lexmark multifunction products, Lexmark Copy Center, and Secure Print Release to automate copy requests and modernize printing. Teachers can now submit requests online or from a Lexmark MFP, and jobs are routed electronically to the print shop. The result was a major efficiency gain: 98% of copy jobs moved from paper forms to electronic requests, courier pickups were nearly eliminated, and TPS reduced sorting time, improved productivity, and achieved cost savings.
