SPAR Austria deploys 3,500 Lexmark printers across stores and logistics

SPAR Austria, through its internal IT service provider SPAR ICS, faced a deteriorating printer fleet that led to increased service calls and costs. Their challenge included printing precise price labels, handling various document needs, and operating reliably under harsh conditions like cold rooms. They initiated a market search involving four printer manufacturers, including Lexmark.

Lexmark provided a range of A4 single-function and multifunction printers, including models like the MX622 and the MS725 for cold stores. The solution featured intuitive operation, sturdy design, and centralized management with Lexmark Markvision Enterprise software. As a result, SPAR deployed 600 Lexmark devices by mid-2019, with a plan for 3,500 total, achieving high user satisfaction, reduced disruptions, and secure, efficient document handling across stores, logistics, and branch offices.
