Pet Partners, a fast-growing operator of neighborhood veterinary hospitals, was struggling to scale its manual accounts payable process as it expanded to 60 locations. With around 6,000 invoices processed each month, the company needed a more efficient way to handle invoice data entry, approvals, and accounting integration, and turned to Lexmark’s Kofax TotalAgility solution.

Lexmark helped Pet Partners implement an automated AP workflow with intelligent capture, analytics, and integration to Microsoft Dynamics GP. The new system reduced invoice processing from weeks to days, cut month-end close time from 20 days with a target of 7 days and ultimately 3 days, and enabled one accountant to manage 25 to 30 hospitals instead of about a dozen.
