North American Grocer saves thousands of labor hours each month with Lexmark

A major North American grocer, operating over 1,600 stores, faced inefficiency from using two separate systems for its shelf-edge signage. This required double the work to update templates and manage both in-store and centrally printed signs. Their objective was to find a unified system with Lexmark that could handle high-volume production, reduce labor costs, and ensure sign accuracy.

Lexmark implemented its Print and Digital Signage solution, which included Central Publisher for high-volume central printing and a custom application for in-store printing within the grocer's LINUX environment. This provided a single system to manage all data, designs, and business rules. The results saved thousands of labor hours each month by delivering pre-sorted signs and allowed for more control, decreased costs, and less waste, ensuring all shelf-edge signs were always accurate.
