A Lexmark Case Study
Mount Royal University needed to replace 110 aging multifunction devices while improving uptime, productivity, costs, and sustainability, and it was especially interested in reducing unnecessary printing. The university selected Lexmark, along with Lexmark Managed Print Services, Lexmark Print Management with Secure Print Release, and Lexmark multifunction products, to meet those goals.
Lexmark implemented the new MFP fleet through local partner PrinterWorks West and added Print Release to hold jobs until users were present, cutting waste and supporting secure, card-swipe printing. The result was thousands of unclaimed jobs removed in the first year, 332,000 sheets of paper saved, improved device availability, lower electricity use, and a 14% reduction in overall output-related expenditures.
