A Lexmark Case Study
Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries, a Toronto-based operator of cemeteries, crematoria, and visitation centers, was struggling with fragile paper records, duplicate files, and slow manual retrieval that affected customer service and record accuracy. The company needed a better way to manage and secure records while reducing human error, and turned to Lexmark’s Perceptive Content document management and workflow solution integrated with Microsoft Dynamics.
Lexmark implemented a centralized electronic repository that digitized lot cards and related documents, making records instantly accessible from any location and tying them to sales records in Microsoft Dynamics. The results included faster response times, improved accuracy, reduced storage needs, and stronger disaster protection for permanent records. Staff could answer customer questions in a couple of clicks instead of waiting about 10 minutes, while Mount Pleasant also eliminated duplicate versions and reduced costs associated with physical storage.
