A Lexmark Case Study
Monmouthshire County Council, serving about 87,900 people in Wales and employing 4,500 staff, needed a faster, space-saving way to manage payroll and HR documents when it learned its office would move into a space 50% smaller. The council was relying on manual, paper-based processes and was storing employee records in 25 filing cabinets, making document retrieval and filing time-consuming and resource-heavy. It chose Lexmark’s Perceptive Content, along with Perceptive eForms and retention tools, to replace its paper workflow and integrate with NorthgateArinso ResourceLink Aurora.
Lexmark implemented a rapid electronic workflow that allowed e-forms to be submitted, reviewed, and filed digitally, with payroll documents linked directly to employee records in ResourceLink Aurora. The council completed setup in about a week after training, and the new system dramatically reduced filing effort, improved access to records with “one click,” strengthened document security, and enabled staff to work remotely. As a result, Monmouthshire County Council gained major time savings, better work/life balance for staff, and far better control over confidential payroll information.
