A Lexmark Case Study
Kansas State University (KSU) needed to eliminate the inefficiencies of paper-based processes that were delaying student service, creating document search problems, and increasing office supply costs across departments like the registrar, admissions, human resources, and financial aid. KSU chose Lexmark and its Perceptive Content solution, along with Perceptive Capture and Perceptive Workflow, for flexible, reasonably priced process and content management.
Lexmark implemented the system quickly, integrating it with PeopleSoft and legacy applications and then expanding it across multiple campus departments. The results included faster access to documents, improved customer service and productivity, easier workload reassignment, and lower storage and supply costs; KSU said the solution paid for itself in less than three years.
