A Lexmark Case Study
Kansas State Board of Nursing faced growing productivity, storage, and compliance challenges as it processed more than 2,000 nursing licenses and renewals each month. Paper and microfilm were slowing document retrieval, increasing the risk of lost records, and making it harder to respond to public records requests and meet strict retention requirements.
Lexmark implemented Perceptive Content, an enterprise document management, imaging, and workflow solution that integrated easily with the board’s existing licensing systems. The result was faster access to records, with document requests dropping from 15–30 minutes to under a minute, daily filing time reduced by 30–60 minutes, user training completed in under five minutes, and the project finished $10,000 under budget.
