A Lexmark Case Study
Grand Prairie Independent School District faced tight K-12 budget pressures and an over-deployed fleet of locally connected printers and fax machines, forcing leaders to choose between cutting devices or protecting teaching positions. The district partnered with Lexmark and used Lexmark multifunction products and Print Release to assess its output environment and build a more efficient strategy.
Lexmark helped Grand Prairie Independent School District replace more than 2,000 personal printers and fax machines with 150 networked, remotely managed MFPs, while centralizing print management and encouraging duplex printing. The changes reduced paper and toner waste, eliminated monthly fax line costs, simplified training and administration, and helped save teacher jobs while improving reliability.
