A Lexmark Case Study

Preview of the Federal Healthcare Facility Case Study

Federal healthcare facility chooses Lexmark to cut operating costs and improve service levels

Federal Healthcare Facility, a major federal healthcare network serving a large regional population, was looking to reduce technology and document-management costs while improving reliability, service, and support from its printer vendor. After testing multiple vendors, it chose Lexmark for output technology and services, including printers, multifunction devices, and workflow/document imaging capabilities.

Lexmark implemented a strategically deployed fleet of space-saving, energy-efficient devices with PIV card authentication, pull printing, scanning to email and records systems, and remote management tools. The result was an expansion from 27 to more than 50 Lexmark devices, faster service levels, better fleet control, and a projected reduction in paper use by more than half; the facility also extended its contract with Lexmark for two additional years.
