A Lexmark Case Study
Durham County Health Department faced rising output costs, device sprawl, and limited visibility into a fleet of printers, copiers, and fax machines spread across its offices. To address this, the department worked with Lexmark and used a Discovery onsite analysis to assess its environment and plan a modernization effort with Lexmark multifunction products (MFPs) and related solutions.
Lexmark implemented a standardized MFP fleet, universal printer driver, network management tools, and Lexmark Print Management with secure print release, along with duplex printing and scan-to-email. As a result, Durham County Health Department reduced device count, simplified administration, and expects to cut output-related spending by 22%, saving nearly $71,000 over three years, while also lowering paper, toner, maintenance, and energy use.
