DAK Americas, a leading low-cost producer of PET resin, faced major accounts payable strain after two acquisitions more than doubled its production and invoice volume. Although its AP process was already centralized and paperless, the company still relied on manual SAP data entry, had limited visibility into exceptions, and struggled with late fees, invalid PO issues, and strained vendor relationships. DAK Americas turned to Lexmark, using ReadSoft Invoices and ReadSoft Process Director to improve automated AP processing in its Accounts Payable department.

Lexmark implemented an end-to-end AP automation solution that captured invoice data, matched it against goods receipts and POs, handled exceptions through workflow, and posted results into SAP. The solution helped DAK Americas process 100,000 invoices per year without additional staff, reduced manual touch points, improved visibility for stakeholders, and strengthened the department’s ability to manage twice the invoice volume more efficiently.
