A Lexmark Case Study
Citizens Memorial Healthcare (CMH), a 1,500-employee healthcare system in Bolivar, Missouri, needed to eliminate paper-based medical charts that slowed workflows and put care quality at risk. CMH partnered with Lexmark and used Perceptive Content to support its move toward a fully electronic medical record and improve document access across its 30-site enterprise.
Lexmark implemented flexible, integrated document and content management solutions that connected with systems like MEDITECH, streamlined registration with scan-prompting and bar coding, digitized contracts and fax workflows, and made records instantly available at the point of care. The results included faster and more accurate workflows, lower storage and supply costs, improved diagnostic access to images and reports, and recognition from HIMSS Analytics as a Stage 7 hospital, the highest level of EMR adoption.
