A Lexmark Case Study
Charlotte County Public Schools (CCPS), a Florida K-12 district serving 16,400 students, needed a faster, less expensive way to administer quarterly benchmark assessments. Its manual “bubble sheet” testing process caused delays, required centralized scanning and scoring, and relied on more than 50,000 pre-printed sheets each year. CCPS turned to Lexmark and its Testing and Grading solution, integrated with Performance Matters, to improve turnaround and reduce costs.
Lexmark implemented a testing workflow using multifunction printers and software that let teachers print customized bubble sheets on demand, scan completed tests at school, and automatically send scores into the district’s assessment system. The result was immediate test feedback for teachers, elimination of pre-printed forms and centralized processing, and easier use of color reports for analysis. CCPS also expanded use of Lexmark MFPs for eForms and scan-to-email, further streamlining district operations.
