A Lexmark Case Study
Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK), the largest provider of retirement and disability services in Bavaria, was struggling to manage millions of customer correspondence documents and contracts each year with an outdated mainframe CRM system and aging templates. The company needed a better way to create, search, personalize, archive, and brand customer-facing documents efficiently. Lexmark’s Perceptive Document Composition was used to address these document output challenges.
Lexmark implemented Perceptive Document Composition alongside BVK’s new CRM and ECM systems, enabling standardized, reusable templates, bundled documents, and automated indexing and archiving. The result was faster document creation, easier personalization, and more efficient batch printing, helping BVK save 10–15% on printing costs, or about €150,000 per year, while streamlining the handling of 15 million pages annually.
