A Lexmark Case Study
Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer by volume, was struggling with a costly, aging, and highly fragmented print environment across its North American operations. The company had hundreds of leased and owned devices from many vendors, inconsistent maintenance plans, and no effective way to control printing, even though output was critical for shipping, legal compliance, and daily operations. Lexmark assessed the fleet and identified major inefficiencies, high paper waste, and an overcomplicated mix of printers, copiers, faxes, and scanners.
Lexmark implemented a managed print services solution with a standardized fleet of networked Lexmark multifunction printers and printers, plus Print Release to reduce wasted printing. The rollout replaced about 3,000 devices with 1,300 across 138 locations, cut the number of output models from 307 to 10, and reduced manufacturers from 19 to 1. Anheuser-Busch InBev reported nearly two million fewer pages printed per month, paper consumption down by nearly seven Gateway Arches, and annual savings approaching seven figures.
