Midpoint Resolution Group Raises the Profit Bar with LexisNexis® Collection Solutions

Midpoint Resolution Group, a Buffalo-based collections agency, set out in 2007 to increase revenue and expand its client base amid growing competition and more debt-savvy consumers that made locating debtors harder and margins tighter. To improve right-party contact (RPC) rates and recovery results, Midpoint compared two skip-tracing tools it already used—LexisNexis Accurint for Collections and Acxiom Insight—in a controlled test.

Midpoint split a large placement file and ran a three-month head-to-head: Accurint produced 397 RPCs (11.19% RPC rate) versus 144 RPCs (4.05%) for Acxiom—176% more RPCs—and returned relative contact data for 66% of contacts versus under 31% for Acxiom. Midpoint estimates Accurint-enabled recoveries yielded 40% more money, prompting a full transition to Accurint, new marquee accounts, and growth from 15 to 50 employees.
