Improved Health Risk Modeling & Improved Patient Engagement Results

EveryMove, a member-engagement specialist, faced a common payer challenge: millions of new enrollees under the ACA often lack clinical or claims history, making risk modeling and targeted interventions difficult. To determine whether non-medical data could fill those gaps, EveryMove set out to test whether socioeconomic indicators could accurately predict member health risk.

EveryMove partnered with LexisNexis and ran 5,000 member records through the LexisNexis Socioeconomic Health Score, which aggregates hundreds of financial, educational, legal and environmental attributes. The score reliably identified higher- and lower-risk members (top 10% had significantly higher risk; bottom 10% significantly lower), so EveryMove integrated the score into its Tandem engagement product—blending it with other datasets to better target interventions, improve risk adjustment for new enrollees and drive stronger member outcomes.
