Enhancing Healthcare Services with an Advanced Identity Data Management Approach

LexisNexis Risk Solutions partnered with a state Department of Health to modernize its immunization information system and address critical data quality challenges exposed during the COVID‑19 emergency. The agency faced fragmented records across multiple databases, duplicate and incomplete identities, inaccurate or outdated contact information, and the need for accurate residency and deceased-status insights to support CDC reporting, outreach, and coordinated care.

Using LexisNexis® AmplifyID™ Master Person Index and batch linking across four state datasets, the team processed 13,188,308 records to produce 9,533,947 distinct person IDs, uncovered about 3.2 million duplicate records, identified over 1 million likely out‑of‑state identities and roughly 494,511 high‑confidence deceased matches, and improved contact data (about 51% better addresses and 60% more recent addresses). The result: a deduplicated, enriched, and more current population view that enabled better outreach (millions of phones and emails returned), more accurate reporting and planning, and a consistent, whole‑person foundation for the state’s public health modernization.
