Reducing Risk with Enhanced Accountability and Up-to-Date Policies

White County Sheriff's Office, a 35-sworn-member agency in Tennessee, was operating with an outdated, hard-to-update policy manual that left many policies noncompliant and made it difficult for deputies and supervisors to find or enforce rules. In 2015 the agency engaged Lexipol and implemented Lexipol’s Law Enforcement and Custody Policy Manuals to replace the binder/scan system and modernize their policy platform.

Lexipol delivered an electronic policy system with a mobile app, Daily Training Bulletins (DTBs), and streamlined acknowledgment tracking, making updates and on-the-spot policy access simple. As a result, supervisors and deputies can instantly verify rules, accountability has improved, policy violations have decreased, and calls for guidance (previously 7–10 per night) have been drastically reduced.
