The Carson City Sheriff’s Office faced a time-consuming, inconsistent policy process—writing policies in-house and lacking systematic training—while protecting Nevada’s capital with 98 sworn and 35 civilian members. One of the first agencies in Nevada to implement Lexipol, the department adopted Lexipol’s policy and training platform, including Daily Training Bulletins and the Lexipol mobile app, to standardize content and improve policy delivery.

Lexipol worked with CCSO to adapt master content to Nevada’s needs, provide regular policy updates, track officer acknowledgements, and deliver 15 Daily Training Bulletins each month plus mobile access for in-field reference. As a result of Lexipol’s solution, policy now permeates the agency’s culture: DTB completion is required for an “excellent” evaluation rating, sergeants access policies on handheld devices, and Lexipol’s updates and documentation streamline compliance and training.
