A Lexbe Case Study
Thompson Coe, a national insurance defense firm, faced a complex construction liability matter involving multiple properties, five defense firms, over forty office tenants, numerous custodians, and large, varied document sets (including emails, CAD drawings, and spreadsheets). The firm needed a flexible, carrier-approved eDiscovery tool to coordinate productions with co-counsel and insurer XL Catlin while controlling rising review and storage costs, so they evaluated and selected Lexbe and its Lexbe eDiscovery Platform (LEP).
Lexbe delivered a cloud-based, multi‑firm LEP solution that let each firm maintain its own database while sharing uploads, data and storage costs (Thompson Coe paid a single upload/management fee), provided fast document loading, advanced search, a Briefcase feature for experts, and hands-on professional services. As a result, Lexbe enabled efficient, accurate review of large productions (including CAD files and spreadsheets), simplified document sharing with experts and co-counsel, increased reviewer productivity, and produced considerable cost savings for the insurance carrier compared with other eDiscovery options.
