The customer, Toyota, faced significant operational inefficiencies at its San Antonio manufacturing plant where employees spent hours searching for defective vehicles that were randomly parked in vast indoor and outdoor areas after failing quality assurance. To address this, Toyota partnered with the vendor, Leverege, to implement a custom indoor and outdoor vehicle tracking solution.

Leverege provided a fully turnkey solution using low-cost, battery-powered trackers that combined GPS and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to pinpoint vehicle locations with 3-5 meter accuracy. The data was managed via the Leverege IoT Platform, and employees used a simple web application to instantly find specific vehicles, view inventory, and get walking directions. This solution from Leverege drastically reduced the time spent searching for cars, saving Toyota significant time and resources while increasing operational efficiency.
