A Lettria Case Study
ADEME, the French Agency for Energy Transition, sought to improve its public communication on the complex concepts of the circular economy. The agency needed to identify which specific terms and expressions were causing confusion or misunderstanding among its target audiences. To tackle this challenge, ADEME partnered with the vendor Lettria to utilize its natural language processing (NLP) expertise.
Lettria implemented a large-scale text analysis solution, processing over 220,000 articles and 50,000 tweets. Their approach involved cleaning the text data, analyzing keyword occurrences, and studying contextual use and synonyms to measure public understanding. This analysis provided ADEME with an adoption score for 58 key terms, highlighting which required clarification. The results gave ADEME clear, data-driven insights to refine its lexicon and optimize its communication strategy for better public engagement.
