Brick Store Pub builds a lasting visual identity over 2 decades with Lenz Marketing

The Brick Store Pub, a longstanding restaurant in Decatur, sought a new visual identity for its Beer Garden concept and required accompanying merchandise designs. The pub turned to its neighbor and longtime creative partner, Lenz Marketing, and its Creative Director Scott Sanders for this branding and design work.

Lenz Marketing developed a comprehensive visual identity, including a Gothic blackletter typeface and hop motif to reflect the Beer Garden's German vibe, which was first applied to an ornate gold leaf outdoor sign. The agency also created simple and timeless shirt and hat designs for the main pub and a new "Baksteen Winkel" brand for its Belgian Bar. This solution successfully extended the pub's established character into new areas, resulting in a cohesive and memorable brand identity across all its offerings.
