Preview of the USGA Case Study

How the USGA used Lennd to Launch a State-of-the-Art Virtual Media Hub for the US Open

The USGA faced a significant challenge in providing media access to the U.S. Open due to COVID-19 restrictions, which severely limited on-site personnel. They needed a solution to efficiently vet, credential, and support a global network of media members, enabling them to cover the major championship remotely while also improving the experience for those on-site. To achieve this, the USGA turned to Lennd to implement a state-of-the-art Virtual Media Hub.

Lennd delivered a comprehensive one-stop platform that centralized all media needs, including applications, live interviews, press conferences, replays, transcripts, and a vast library of resources. The solution was a resounding success, supporting 788 media users from 28 countries, facilitating 80 virtual press conferences, and processing 150 interview requests. The USGA reported that the platform was seamless for both administrators and users, with Lennd's support and technical knowledge being crucial to exceeding all expectations for the virtual event.
