Regis College Unifies Access and Video New S2 System Enhances Collaboration and Enriches Community

Regis College, a private university in Weston, Massachusetts, faced fragmented, end-of-life access control and video systems that made collaboration between Campus Police, IT and campus departments difficult. With a new residence hall planned, Regis engaged integrator CGL and implemented an integrated LenelS2 solution—including NetBox Extreme access control, NetVR 700 video management and distributed network nodes—to replace the dual systems and simplify provisioning and support.

LenelS2’s unified, browser-based system centralizes access and video, lets departments easily assign and manage users (supporting about 50 collaborative users), and supports use cases from residence-hall and elevator control to temporary childcare access and event “gamification.” The result: faster investigations (forensics narrows footage to 5–10 minute segments vs. hours), reduced training time, stronger cross-department collaboration, and new community-focused uses enabled by the LenelS2 deployment.
