New Access Control System Enhances Community S2 System Provides Security and Convenience to Naval Square Residents

FirstService Residential, manager of Naval Square Condominiums in Philadelphia, needed to replace an aging 2002 access control system that was difficult and time-consuming to update and maintain. Working with systems integrator 215Secure, they selected LenelS2 solutions — including the LenelS2 NetBox Extreme and 14 distributed LenelS2 Network Nodes — to modernize access control across the property.

LenelS2 deployed NetBox Extreme across two community entrances and six multi-family buildings, integrating Nedap long-range vehicle identification, HID mobile-ready readers, and iDor Mobile visitor entry while enabling phone-based mobile credentials. The upgrade delivered easier management, automatic vehicle access, reduced reliance on physical fobs (lowering credential sharing and deterring unauthorized short-term rentals), and room to expand with LenelS2 NetVR and mobile management — significantly improving security and resident convenience.
