LenelS2TM OnGuard access control system enables enterprise-level security and time-saving integrations

The University of Kentucky, a large public university in Lexington with more than 30,000 students and a 13,000‑person workforce, faced a fragmented security environment with 72 different systems and a Mercury-based rollout that couldn’t scale or integrate effectively. Seeking a centralized, enterprise-level solution open to third-party integrations, the University of Kentucky Police Department selected LenelS2’s OnGuard access control platform.

LenelS2’s OnGuard was deployed campus-wide (with Stanley Security as systems integrator), leveraging existing Mercury panels and integrating with SAP identity management and Assa Abloy WiFi locks to deliver more than 9,000 access control points—4,000 of which include WiFi lock integrations. The implementation automated provisioning (saving hundreds of man-hours each semester), enabled delegated administration and campus-wide lockdown capabilities, streamlined operations, and increased community confidence while positioning the university to secure every door.
