Hobart FEG, a leading supplier of foodservice and food retail equipment with a main campus spanning eight buildings and more than 100 branch locations, faced an aging, unsupported two‑system security setup. The company needed a solution that would let its safety manager administer access while traveling to 100+ branches, raise overall security, reuse existing field equipment, and secure IT buy‑in with minimal training and disruption.

LenelS2 deployed the S2 NetBox IP‑based access control solution, leveraging the existing network to provide web‑based remote monitoring and badge management without a dedicated server. The system reused more than 175 existing card readers and an updated badge printer, installed faster than estimated with almost no downtime, and required virtually no end‑user training. As a result LenelS2 enabled remote control and tighter access management, scaled security across multiple locations, reduced maintenance and costs, and made the Hobart FEG campus demonstrably more secure.
