Casa Costa Condominiums Enhance Security, Boost Energy Efficiency

Casa Costa Condominiums, a 407‑unit mixed residential and commercial community in Boynton Beach, faced an end‑of‑life legacy security system, difficulty updating credentials for seasonal residents, and HVAC systems that weren’t integrated with the building management system. To modernize security and improve energy management, the community turned to LenelS2—deploying the LenelS2 NetBox access control solution alongside partners Alpha Security and Carrier.

Alpha Security installed the LenelS2 NetBox using much of the existing hardware to avoid recredentialing residents, and Carrier integrated HVAC and BACnet® i‑Vu® building automation to use access data for occupancy‑based control. The LenelS2‑driven, fully integrated solution improved access to shared spaces and enhanced safety while boosting HVAC efficiency by about 25% in peak season and up to 50% in the off season, lowering energy costs and operational lifecycle expenses.
