Boston Celtics Security Practice Makes Perfect Unified Lenels2 System Provides Successful Blueprint for New Practice Facility

The Boston Celtics faced an 18-year-old access control system and insufficient video surveillance across their Boston and Waltham facilities while preparing to build a new state-of-the-art practice center. To modernize security and simplify access for players, staff, contractors and media, they selected LenelS2 (with help from CGL Electronic Security) to replace legacy systems and plan ahead for new construction.

LenelS2 deployed a converged solution—NetBox VR access control, NetVR video servers, distributed Network Nodes and Magic Monitor to unify access and video in a single web-based interface. The implementation improved the Celtics’ ability to monitor and quickly retrieve critical video, streamlined onboarding/offboarding and automated previously unwired doors, and provided a reproducible security blueprint for the new practice facility.
