Cintas, a service company providing uniform and business services, was running its SAP environment on legacy on-premises infrastructure. This resulted in high overhead costs from unused mainframe capacity and limited flexibility for connecting to its analytics data lake. With their hosting contract up for renewal, Cintas sought a more modern, secure, and cost-effective solution and engaged with vendor Lemongrass.

Lemongrass executed a complex migration of Cintas's 212 SAP applications and over 130 terabytes of data to the Google Cloud Platform. By leveraging the Lemongrass Cloud Platform (LCP), they transitioned the database from Oracle to DB2, compressing it by 60% with zero downtime. This delivered a faster, more secure, and stable data platform while significantly lowering overhead costs for the customer. Lemongrass continues to provide managed services to optimize their SAP operations.
