Heineken Centralizes Global ERP Datasets in SAP BW 4 HANA on AWS to Drive Business-Critical Insights

Heineken, a global brewer with over 80 independent operating companies (OpCos), faced the challenge of siloed data from dozens of disparate ERP systems. This lack of a unified data platform caused long lead times for global reporting and hindered its digital transformation ambitions. To address this, Heineken engaged the vendor Lemongrass to help centralize its global ERP datasets.

Working with Lemongrass, Heineken built the B1 Analytics Enablement Platform on SAP BW/4HANA hosted on AWS. The solution by Lemongrass seamlessly integrated tens of terabytes of data, dramatically improving scalability and efficiency. The results included reducing the time for data integration from over nine months to nearly instantaneous, enabling faster analytics and reporting. This provided critical insights for global finance, supply chain, and sustainability initiatives, significantly advancing Heineken's business strategy.
