Case Study: FirstGroup achieves a faster SAP migration to AWS with Lemongrass

FirstGroup plc, a leading UK and North American transport provider, faced the challenge of a rapidly approaching data center contract termination for their critical SAP systems, which needed to be migrated to AWS with minimal business disruption. Complicating the project, this migration had to occur in parallel with preparations for a new rail franchise acquisition. The vendor, Lemongrass, was selected to execute a rapid and flexible migration of their SAP environment.

Lemongrass delivered a complete solution, migrating FirstGroup's SAP ECC, PI, and Content Server systems to AWS within an 11-week plan. The migration was completed successfully without impacting the separate franchise project. As a result, FirstGroup's systems now run 10% faster in the cloud. Lemongrass also provided ongoing technical support and integrated the new systems with the existing SAP Business Warehouse on AWS.
