Energy Transfer, a leading U.S. midstream energy company, faced the challenge of selecting the right RISE with SAP option to meet its strategic goals. The company needed to navigate the complex transition from an on-premises system and required a comprehensive licensing assessment to identify significant cost-saving opportunities and negotiate a favorable agreement. To address this, they engaged the expertise of Lemongrass for consultation on their SAP transformation.

Lemongrass collaborated with Energy Transfer to evaluate the RISE options, providing critical insights that informed the migration strategy. A key part of the solution was a detailed licensing assessment from Lemongrass that identified and eliminated 5,805 unused licenses. This effort, combined with negotiating the RISE agreement, resulted in a significant $2M reduction in licensing costs for Energy Transfer and positioned them with a scalable, cost-effective SAP infrastructure for future growth.
