Voltfang collects data from 6 BMSs with Lemberg Solutions

Voltfang, a German company providing sustainable energy storage solutions using second-life batteries, needed to optimize performance and introduce real-time monitoring for their systems. They partnered with Lemberg Solutions to develop an IoT telemetry solution for efficiently collecting BMS data and integrating with an AWS-hosted database.

Lemberg Solutions developed a robust firmware for an IoT device built around the Infineon XMC4700 microcontroller. The solution maintained stable communication with six battery management systems via CAN channels, integrated with AWS IoT for cloud connectivity, and implemented secure OTA update functionality. This allowed Voltfang to actively monitor their energy storage systems, making them more efficient and stable for their customers.
