Dav Foundation launches open-source IoT platform in just over a month with Lemberg Solutions

The Dav Foundation, a blockchain-based transportation company, wanted to create an open-source, easy-to-build IoT module for micro-mobility platforms to help configure, maintain, and track vehicles from the cloud. They engaged Lemberg Solutions for this project, which required software and hardware engineering services.

Lemberg Solutions designed the device architecture, selected widely available hardware including a Raspberry Pi Zero, and developed the firmware in Python. They connected the module to Google’s IoT Cloud for secure data handling and remote configuration. The vendor delivered the complete open-source DAV IoT Platform, including assembly instructions, in just over a month, making it publicly available on GitHub.
