The evaluation at the laboratory demonstrated that this solution reduced the total turnaround time from coverslipping to completed slide drying by 47% compared to the previous film coverslipper's drying station, and by 9.7% versus using an external fume hood. Leica Biosystems' solution also minimized staff exposure to xylene fumes by eliminating workflow steps.
