Stewart Title Guaranty Company, the legal services arm of global real estate firm Stewart Information Services, needed a scalable case-management system to handle title insurance inquiries and claims across multiple offices. Existing Access databases couldn’t support diverse workflows, centralized document storage, reminders, custom reporting or the stricter regulatory requirements—and the team wanted to eliminate duplicate data entry and integrate with enterprise systems.

Stewart implemented the commercial off‑the‑shelf Legal Files system and worked with the vendor to build an automated feed linking Legal Files to legacy applications. The centralized, customizable platform automated the claims process, captured e-mail, documents and notes, reduced repetitive work, sped information retrieval for regulators and improved reporting and efficiency across more than 200 users.
